as long as they keep complaining they're over regulated and refuse new development we'll get more game and control and socialized costz just like this..

It is common among many large mineral industries to extract the resources and leave the mess where people live. Dan Tucker got it right. Marathon agreed to the cleanup obligation and it needs to be fulfilled. And yes, there are many others and tons of stuff on the north slope and dismantling TAPS when it rusts out or oil runs out.

no one will be dismantling TAPS anytime soon, not in my lifetime anyway.

The question remains, when it is dismantled will the spent wells and infrastructure be cleaned up. As far as I know the DR&R dismantlement and restoration account has not been funded. It needs to be, whether it's in our lifetime or not.

Excuse me! What's "anti-petroleum" about expecting the business that obligated to the terms and conditions to make and take money from resource extraction to follow the rules of cleaning up after their done?

They profited. Now it's time to make the final payment by removing their mess. Trashing my front yard is NOT part of the deal.
