Subscribe to the Anchorage Press!

As of June 2026, Northern Journal is being folded into the Anchorage Press over the next few months. (Read all the details here.)

To raise money for our initial hires and standing up the business, we're selling subscriptions to the Anchorage Press, which will slowly start up digital publication on Northern Journal's website over the summer and formally launch in the fall.

For $100, you'll help us cover our start-up costs and digital publication — and be subscribed to the Press for a year. You'll also receive Northern Journal content until it's formally merged into the press in the fall.

We're still getting started, so we'll have more information in the coming months about additional pricing levels and perks for subscribers, like print paper delivery, event invites, and discounts.

The money we raise will go toward budget items including the salaries of our publisher, executive editor and our new arts and culture editor; freelance commissions; and office space.
